A review & approval platform for creative work
How we replaced email chains and spreadsheets with a single system for submitting artwork, collecting feedback, and getting sign-off, and how we've kept it running since.

The challenge
Our client's creative approval process ran on email. Artwork went out as attachments, feedback came back scattered across reply threads, and nobody could say for sure which version was approved or who was holding things up. Deadlines slipped while people chased each other for responses.
What we built
We designed and built a client-server web application that gives every piece of artwork a single home and a clear path from submission to sign-off.
- Central submission and versioning. Artwork is uploaded once, and every revision is tracked, so there's never confusion about the latest version.
- Structured review and approval. Reviewers comment and approve or request changes in one place, with a full history of decisions.
- Automated reminders and notifications. The system emails reviewers when something needs their attention and follows up automatically when reviews stall.
- Role-based access. Submitters, reviewers, and administrators each see what they need, and nothing they shouldn't.
How we host it
The application runs on Google Cloud with a classic multi-tier architecture: a web front end, an application/API tier, and a managed relational database. We handle deployments, monitoring, backups, and updates, so the client never has to think about infrastructure.
The result
Reviews that used to stall in inboxes now move through a visible, predictable process. Everyone knows where each piece of artwork stands, reminders go out without anyone having to chase, and there's a clear record of who approved what and when.

Approvals, requests, sign-offs, and hand-offs are often the easiest wins for custom software. Let's talk about yours.
